Stranger Comes To Town - on the home run. Three days remain held at Leeders Farm and it should all be wrapped by Wednesday night. But I am not sure. Feels like so much to do still; too much for the time remaining. May need more time, even before Christmas.
As Nick Brine, my engineer, says, everything always takes longer than you think. Cover song recorded and we are all charmed by it. But which one of the many dozens suggested? Which one? That word, charm, charming; yes, charming is how to describe the start to this day for me. Received email passed on from a 14-year-old girl in Belgium, Kato Sneyers, thanking me for sending her a birthday card. Story is simple: four of her friends wrote to us, saying her birthday was coming up, just before Christmas. Fourteen, and a big fan. I sent her a card. Cost nothing really. And it made me feel good, truth be told. Fourteen, and a fan. That’s good enough for me. Happy birthday, Kato. Your thank you note has made my day. Merry Christmas to you and your enterprising friends. Maybe we’ll meet for a chat next time I play in one of the Low Countries? Could be sooner than you think, too. Who introduced you to my music? Your dad? Mum? Fascinating. And charming. How about that! Stranger Comes To Town.
