The latest album I listened to was Book of Souls by Iron Maiden. It has been out for a while but having listened to a couple of tracks put it to one side......my son loves them more than me. Yesterday I gave it another go and when I listened to the intro to the Title Track I thought the I Phone which holds my music had slipped to a Harley album. I just wondered if I was hearing things.....did Steve give permission......I would be interested to hear what others think.

  • Reassuringly expensive.
We've just returned from the Somme. So, as tradition would have it, we listen to Stranger Comes to Town."There's a long dark river my boat sails down........

Currently re-listening to my old traditional folk music favourites, as there's no-one else around to complain about it! I love that folk music is so organic, changing over time and space to better suit the people of those times and places. Used to collect various versions of folk tunes years ago; even found a Chicago blues version of "Four Knights Drunk" ! Now, mostly focussing on Silly Wizard, as the great Andy M. Stewart passed on 27 December 2015, another great singer/ composer with a rich, distinctive, beautiful voice. Also listening to Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick , as Swarb passed on this year as well.
