I am collecting everthing from Steve since the beginning of 1975 and got the virus from Hans Peters.
I have here two demorecords of "Sebastian/Rock and Roll Parade" from EMI and on the labels stands "Demo Record Not For Sale 31.8.73" and on the other, which was the second release "Demo Record Not For Sale 18.1.74".
About The Human Menagerie I don't have the answer.

I caught up wth Psychomodo, so the HM release date can't hep woth, but I belive that if Stewart doesn't know, and Seve's people don't know, nobody knows! But surelyEMI have files with such info???

Michael,my cutting from the New Musical Express at the time states..
"EMI release the debut album by Cockney Rebel on November 2.Title is The Human Menagerie"
And all these years later..were off to The Symphony Hall!!
:)
My Scrapbook from the era has a review in in from The Speakeasy in London ( 7/4/73)...part of it says " Best numbers of the night were You'd be My Last wish, with some nice fiddle work from Master Mascara".Wonder was this a song re titled for the album or something very few of us ( apart from those lucky ones who saw the Residency at The Speakeasy) have heard ?....
