If there's one song we're all desperate for the tab for, it's definitely "A Friend for Life". I too have been looking everywhere and have met others on the same quest. Face it, most of us Steve Harley fans are of an age where we have either settled down with someone, or have someone we're trying to convince to settle down with us. It's the one song we MOST want to sing to her.

Hi! Regarding said pdf for Friend for Life.... I suggest that we need to add a line for the verse preceding the one stated as the verse cycles twice with different endings and the first I suggest should be

A9 - A9/F# *3 to Dadd9 - D - Bm - E - A - A9 - F#m - Bm - F#m - E - D which then goes into the second cycle finishing Bm - E -A.............

I have to say I was playing A to F#m till Steve kindly gave us the correct chords... I hadn't picked out the A9 or Dadd9 chords at all and of course I do stand to be corrected if I have misinterpreted anything.

Looking forward til later today to buy the Manchester gig tickets.

Oh, my God, Noelternative, my fiancé has been desperate to try to figure out the chords to this song. He's even scheduled a guitar lesson with a professional next Wednesday to learn that specific song! Thank you so much! I didn't know the chords and words were right here on the forum.
