I’m recovering from recently major surgery for bowel cancer and will be starting chemo very soon. Thankfully I’m currently fit enough to travel to Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday - yeehaa! I bought 10 tickets for myself, my wife and friends (Front Stalls Row "B") on the first day that they were on sale.

I've been a fan of Steve’s since 1973 and have attended scores of his concerts over the years and have all his recordings. I've always wanted to meet him but have accepted that this is probably not going to happen. Listening to his music has been a great help to me recently.

Can't wait for Saturday!

What a relief! Husband John had bowel cancer surgery in April this year. We weren't sure if he'd be over the 24 weeks chemo in time to come to Birmingham....but he is....again
.....phew!

Hope you get to meet Steve, Zafod. :)

Glad he's able to go and I hope all's ok for him. Don't mind at all about not meeting Steve - I'm just so happy I can see this concert. The first concert I went to was in 1975 when I took 3 of my brothers to the Hammersmith Odeon in London. I drove from Liverpool, saw the concert - then drove right back afterwards. Those were the days!

Zafod. He's fine. Waiting for CT scan and another op to reverse colostomy. It's been a scary ride!
See you at Birmingham. Don't overdo it!!

Zafod. Hope the chemotherapy is going ok. I know how tough and tiring it can be. John slept morning, noon and night by the end of his treatment but now some good news. John's CT scan shows he's all clear and his reversal op will go ahead in the new year.
Take care Zafod. Stella
