Did I just see George Ford playing bass in the Shadows 1980 TOTP on BBC4 or are my eyes deceiving me?

George did indeed spend some time as a Shadow. I remember seeing him playing on TV with them back then. Steve has lost three bass players: Paul Jeffreys died in the Pan Am flight that crashed over Lockerbie, George Ford dies in Canada a few years ago and poor Lincoln Anderson passed away last year.
