Oh Charmpri I so absolutely agree with what you said. Such musicianship is a real treat to see but last night I was also touched by the love and camaraderie shown there between the band members. It's always there but last night it was there in buckets. The new band members have become part of the family. Marty Prior is great, Mona and Lisa are, I think, adorable and have really added something special to this tour. The numbers they do on their own are superb, their harmonising on Steve's song is spot on and they're so fresh and fun. I wasn't sure about the whole idea at first but I love them.
It was inspirational to get the old band together and it seems such a shame that after the last night at Guildford we might never see Steve, Stuart, Jim and Duncan on stage together again. I don't have a ticket for Guildford but I think the last night will be an absolute blast.
Steve talked on the radio yesterday about plans to do an acoustic tour next year with Mona, Lisa and Barry. I really hope that happens. They sounded great on the radio yesterday. Really worth a listen.

P.S. I took my sister with me. She's really a bit of a Harley "virgin" and I was surprised and delighted she enjoyed it so much, not having heard anything that was played last night other than Make Me Smile or Mr. Raffles before. After the concert we hung around in the bar, hoping to get a tour programme signed for our sister Katie, who lives in Portugal. We'd asked the merchandise vendor if he could get it signed for us during the interval but he said he was unable to get to Steve. Anyway we waited, only to notice a couple of guys who were next to us at the bar, summoned to meet Steve (on-stage or backstage?). Our chances blown, we consoled ourselves with a bag of Cadbury's Twirls and went home.
