Was it a charity gig? The show they did in October 74 had Stuart,Jim,Duncan,George and the two girl backing singers who appeared on the 45 Show.

Hi Hans, the original band split in July 74 so it would have been too early to have been August 74. I believe the only two gigs in August 74 were a warm up gig at the Friars the evening before the small matter of the Reading Festival appearance.

The first Rainbow gig was later, in October 74, with a second appearance there in February 77. The second show was a charity event supporting the homeless of Northern Ireland. I seem to remember reading somewhere (ages ago) that that gig was recorded and eventually went on to form part of the Face to Face album... I think.

I went to both of the Rainbow gigs, ( only occasions i went there ). I've still got the special programme for the 2nd one, just an A4 fold out of 2 pages printed both sides. Will have both tickets too, not looked at them for ages. I'm certain he did Big Big Deal at the 74 gig. Also thought it wasn't Jim, George or Duncan playing in 74.......which is why i asked.
