Steve said he is planning to do tribute songs at Warrington Bowie Bolan Cohen. Any thoughts what he might do?

let me throw out suggestions and start ball rolling:hallelujah

Bowie:

1) Rock and Roll Suicide
2) Bewlay Brothers.
3) Man who sold the World

Cohen:
1) So Long Marrianne
2) Bird on a wire
3) Hallelujah

Thoughts?

Steve would absolutely kill any of the Cohen songs you mentioned, they are all great songs. Somehow, he will sing them better than Leonard, if he decides to do one. I'm still hoping to hear him do, "She Belongs to Me," by Bob Dylan. I haven't heard him do it live and I'm dying to. :)

  • Reassuringly expensive.
I don't mind what tribute songs Steve sings. Personally, my favourite Bowie song is "Sorrow" and I'm not really a Cohen fan.
I don't often travel oop north to see Steve but I am looking forward to meeting up with a few fans before the concert.
Martha and I are very excited to be seeing Steve et al again.
What a great way to kick off the Summer hols.
I bet it's raining though.............

It' will be none of them, if going by the Frome concert, keep guessing, you will be very pleased all the same.
Yes I always prefer Steve's own songs, but the covers are brilliant..

Stella - just fyi, "Sorrow" was a song by The McCoys in the mid 60s and in the UK a hit for The Merseys who later became The Merseybeats. It was a "cover" by Bowie. On Pin Ups, all covers. Can't wait to discover which Bowie song SH actually covers. "Rebel, Rebel" maybe??

Thanks Roberto techno. I did know "Sorrow" was a cover but it's still my favourite song that Bowie sang. I guess it means that Steve won't be singing it though.
I always liked "The Man Who Sold The World" but I preferred Lulu's version.
Wait and see.
