Just a suggestion here, but I really think that the Beatles cover
that Steve and the boys have performed over the last three nights
YOU WON'T SEE ME, would make a superb single and would almost certainly blast our man back to the higher echelons of the u.k. charts.
The acapella opening lines then banging straight in to a full blown pop/rock song with such great lyrics and fantastic melody, would almost be on a par with MMS for its catchy commercialism and it is a nail on for making the Radio 2 'A' playlist.
I would even go as far to say that it is just the type of song that Ken Bruce wouls select as his record of the week, honestly the way the band performed it ,complete with the MMS stlyle 'ooh la la la's,in the chorus,is perfect pop music.
Dont know the ins and outs of getting the rights to release it as a single,or the costs, but I think it would be a big gamble worth risking.
Come on Steve, think about it at least....please!
Anyone else thats attended in the last few nights agree with this
if so join Jimbo's campaign....lets get Steve back in the top ten,
or dare I say it,with the obvious interest Beatles fans might show,
a new number one hit, 36 years later!!!
