Hi everybody,

I have just found my way to the music of Steve Harley and I would really like to get to know more about the meaning of the lyrics.

Can somebody recommend me a website where I can found some background infos or translations? That would really be awesome.

Thanks a lot and merry christmas.

Think by reading your other posts that you are french? Are you asking for translation into french or rather the meaning behind some of Steves lyrics (early days)

(yes I am french)
It's not me who was asking for translation, but Everlasting !

As most of people here on this forum are british, I was wondering which language he had in mind when he spoke of translation ; you see what I mean ?
May be Everlasting is german or spanish or even french ?

Concerning myself, I must admit I did not catch all of Steve Harley's lyrics but some, like Ritz, are so beautiful the way they are, in english, that a translation is useless. The words just sound magnificent.
Translation always does a disservice to poems ...
