Many of you will know that in 2003 Steve Harley and Band played a Charity Concert at Manchester's Palace Theatre for MAG and my son Sam's school.The Hope school in Wigan.It really was a very special night and one that many of us will never forget!
Sam is now nearly 20,recently I wrote this little poem about our relationship....

Everyday ( For Sam)

I see you over there
Sitting in your chair
Wondering what life's about
Of That I have no doubt.

Everyday I hear you cry
Everyday " I wonder why?"
Everyday You Look So Sad
Everyday it makes me mad.

You cannot walk or talk
But your eyes say so much
And as long as were together
we'll always have the touch!

Everyday I hear you cry
Everyday " I wonder why ?"
Everyday you look so sad
Everyday it makes me mad.

Who knows what the future will bring
It seems so dark and cold
But we will hang on to our dreams
And together each we'll hold.

Although our lives are different
Of that we cannot deny
Our love will give us strengh though
To give life one big try.

Everyday I see you smile
Everyday I hear your scream
Everyday " I wonder why?"
Everyday I feel so glad.

Have you ever read a book called "Adam, God's Beloved" by Henri Nouwen?
Your poem reminded me of it.
I was lent it by a friend who warned me that I would cry, but I was still foolish enough to read it on a train...

Paul,No I have never read Adam Gods Beloved by Henri Nouwen,I've just found it though and bought it.Sam has around 5/10 seizures per day and obviously many other connections so I'm sure the book by Henri will provide inspiration and insight.
The more I learn the better I will be for my young fighter!
