I've yet to find a software solution that we could use on this site that is stable enough so that I am not bombarded 24 hours a day with messages from disgruntled chatters complaining that the chat room has crashed.

The last time we had a live chat event with Steve I was monitoring the system every second and re-launching it every few minutes. That's just not sustainable for a permanent chat room.

I do need sleep every now and then.

We have no issue with the idea of a chat room, we just don't want to do it unless it actually works.

Don't forget that as a registered user you have a Forum Profile (see the 'My Profle' button above?) in which you can share your chatting credentials.

Andy. I don't really expect you to provide a chatroom here. It's just that I felt we were chatting away rather inanely there but I guess that's ok on a Forum if no-one else minds
