He forgot lyrics in a couple of HM songs, and was looking down to his left to try to find his place.

But...

So what?! Am I bothered?

My partner and I REALLY ENJOYED the concert.
I don't need to go overboard with superlative comments, suffice to say it was FANTASTIC.
However,as we say in Suffolk there are some CC's about.

Awwwwww, dont be too harsh on Ray, its his opinion. I hope any subsequent CD/DVD release keeps any mistake in. A true document of a perfect nights music. :)

Oooooh I could shake him Rachel. Anyway even Mr Maverick Ray's wayward comment couldn't detract from what was the musical highlight of my life. It was a triumph that miraculously provided even more than it promised. :)

I think people have been very restrained. Ray's opinion is definitely best kept to himself and no doubt is hurtful and insulting to Steve
Saturday night was a historic and phenomenal event. everyone involved deserves extremely high praise. I will never forget it.
Ray's nitpicking seems both churlish and attention-seeking. Very disappointing indeed.
I only hope in the cold and 'sober' light of day he reflects on the wisdom of sharing his views and offers Steve and unreserved apology for the insult and upset he has caused

Just because you have an opinion it doesn't mean you have to share it.

Ray voiced an opinion, no more, no less. And though Ray is factually correct about the forgotten words, it didnt spoil the show for me, or it seems 99.9% of others. And re-reading Rays comments, he certainly didnt come across as disrespectful, but then, only Mr H could comment on that aspect.
One idea we could try, is ask Ray to rehearse those two albums word for word, and next time we see him, he has to stand on a table in a pub, and recite word perfect, the whole same set list that Steve did. ANY mistake and the watching audience/punters are allowed to throw rotten fruit at him ;)
SOunds fair enough eh Ray ???
Perhaps when the CD/DVD is released, we,ll really see how Steve feels, if he decides to `clean` the recording up. I hope everything is kept as it is, as a pure document of a fantastic evening.
Im sure Rays comments wont upset Mr H .... he,s taken bigger dingbats in the past ;)
