Death Trip has always been a particular favourite song of mine. It keeps crossing my mind that when Steve wrote this song and performed it in his younger years the connotation was different, for himself as well as for his fans. As far as I'm concerned, back then it was about drugs and drug abuse and I guess it was the same for him. Now that we're all older it's more about other things - losing people around us, dying totally unholy. Steve's performance of this song last Saturday was truly a tour de force. Brilliant. Admirable!
