Just googling for press reviews of that fantastic night in Birmingham (as you do!} when I came across the biog below.

www.last.fm/music/Steve+Harley/+wiki

This piece talks of two {possibly) finished albums that were never released. One had 'star for a week on' (later to appear on another album} and there was also one called El Gran Senor.

Does anyone know anything more about these 'lost' albums? (are tracks such 'whites of their eyes' really in existence somewhere?).

I think I am right in saying that El gran senior later became the yes you can cd with versions of star for the week, irresistable, rain in venice, promises, and the lighthouse all being re recorded.sophistication later apeared as a studio track on a live album and the track Oh how happy stayed on the cutting room floor, however these original recordings are floating about :) Dont shoot till you see the whites of there eyes must be about somewhere but ive yet to find it other than on very poor live recordings from the day.
