Just seen the programme - well, not quite over, as I can't stand the leather pants and perms of Bon Jovi who are on now - and Steve was fantastic. Great voice, and great look. He really put his contemporaries into the waste bin: Blondie, Oh dear!! Sir Bob and The Rats - off-key, yelling, pub rock and self-important. To my eyes (AND ears!!), Steve stole it. Charisma writ large. Oh, and Newton Faulkner was very interesting.
