Back story.
Excited build up, building as we waited for the "No access" rope to be lifted. Then a re-run of a mums sports day was played out as we grabbed the spot we had been eyeing up for the best part of two hours........ and yes! all friends and family were abandoned with the picnic by "a tree".
I was successful in that race. Me competitive? oh, and stubborn too.
The weather was again kind to us and we were treated to a somewhat "quiet" announcement of the band once they had all arrived on stage. Steve had forgotten to pack his razor again
Ill not share the set list.
Once the opener was away Steve pondered, inviting us all to stop, turn, and look left up and out over to The Tor sitting above us and then over to our right to gaze the mackerel skies. We drank in the beauty and energy of the place like puppets being guided on the strings.
The music did not stray from this mood and we were led along the familiar route, familiar to me .. A little puzzle of lyrics on the second?.. I dont think I winked or stuck my tongue out at this point did I ? Its allowed though for him..(as is both
)
Im sure 9 numbers played with a couple producing tears needing to be held back and all knitted together along with good sound production (even from the front) making this another memorable evening.
I was not amongst the regular crowd but was hearing good vibes re the set and "I`ll u-tube that ballad" from a couple of " Ferry folk" I was standing by.
HAPPY smiles and still tingling. THANK YOU Steve and the guys.
