Hi Everyone.
My name is Maxwell and I live near Wigan.
I have loved the music of SH&CR since I heard sebastion in '73 as a eleven year old and have all the albums up to "yes you can"
I have seen him in the late 70's at "the venue" in London a few times and in Preston in the 80's
I hope to see him again when he plays up north next.
I have a question for you all that I have tried to google search, but to no avail....
What are the first few words on "Living in a Rhapsody"?
Thanks.
M

Hi Maxwell, welcome to the board.
Without going to the sleeve of the album itself, my recollection of the opening of Living In A Rhapsody is the following:

UP LA BREA FROM WATTS TO BEL AIR...

La Brea is a long road running from the district in LA of Watts (very poor) to Bel Air (swanky!).

Maybe best to Google map LA and check it out.
You could see Steve's acoustic show in Manchester, Liverpool and Sale in November. Happy days to you.

Thank you so much for that and the welcome.
I'm not too sure about the acoustic Steve, he seems more at home with the band behind him, but I'll probably go to the Liverpool one anyway.

Welcome Maxwell from another relative newbie :)
We saw him at Glasto this year with the band & he was absolutely sensational.
We'll be getting tickets for the Newport acoustic gig & are already looking forward to it.
(Also hoping he'll be doing Glasto next year too ;) Rachel?????)

No worries...we saw Steve in an acoustic set a few years ago, Blooomsbury theatre in London, and it was a mage couple of hours, with all those great songs sung up-close-and-personal, so to speak. Intimate is the word, Maxwell, and you won't regret getting along there. Also, I've Googles several of the theatres on the tour and they look really classy.

I meant to type "magic"!
Where do you live, Maxwell? Anywhere near one of the classy theatres?? New one at Bury St Edmunds looks amazing. Tickets not on sale even yet, but I'm getting to that one.
