So five pages in I thought I'd do a little league table to see what songs we like most.

Some people mentioned more than five, but so what? It's very hard to choose just five.

Anyway.......

44 different songs have been mentioned so far.

With 8 mentions -
Sebastian

With 6 mentions -
Friend For Life

With 5 mentions -
Make Me Smile

With 4 mentions -
It Wasn't Me
All Men Are Hungry
Riding The Waves
Ritz

With 3 mentions -
Red Is A Mean Mean Colour
Death Trip
Cavaliers
Lighthouse
The Last Time I Saw You
Star For A Week
Journeys End
Understand
Back To The Farm
What Ruthy Said

That concludes the voting from the Steve Harley jury (for now!)
Fell in love with Judy Teen, bought Psychomodo, saw first concert 1978 Hammersmith, got everything since.

Funny but to me (if there was a least favorite Harley tune, which there is not) I'd have to go with Sebastien or Make Me Smile as my least faves. Besides Riding The Waves, I could of easily listed Back To The Farm, Psychomodo, or Mr. Raffles in that fave slot. I guess it just depends on the mood, setting, or atmosphere at the time of listening. Although I certainly will take the more heavier rocking numbers 9 out of 10 times! B)

B) I too would struggle to list a "least favourite" Harley tune but if I was really pressed I would say "Make Me Smile". I think it's because it has become the one tune that people who are not Harley fans identity as the one example of his music. But there are so many other amazing lyrics and tunes to Harley's repetoire!!

My current favourite is still "All The Men Are Hungry", with "The Last Feast", "The Coast Of Amalfi" and "Black And White" the current second favourites!!!!

On June 1st at Bristol Colston Hall my American Missus and I will be celebrating our wedding anniversary at the SH gig :) What a date for us to see him - !

Steve just has to sing irresistible for David and Motown Liz - we met at my pub in Bath back in 1992 and I had a Dutch copy of Yes You Can as default CD - irresistible was playing when we met.

I also put up all the SH Fan Club in the pub back then and got them rat arsed regularly.

This will be my 42nd gig since Plymouth Guildhall 73 or 74

I hope he can manage Death Trip as I always found that very haunting and surreal - even though I got a personal bollocking from Steve once for yelling it out ;)

Pretty darned well please Steve ?

Go on make an American 53 year old weep with joy!

Me too. I reckon Make Me Smile is a well done pop song, very mainstream but it doesn't reach the intensity and quality of songs like Sebastian or Ritz or Psychomodo or Back to the Farm or ... etc !

I reckon your being a bit harsh on Make Me Smile. It's wonderfully produced and has stood the test of time pretty well.
