I know you can't please all the people all of the time, and with so many brilliant songs, you have to leave some off the playlist....but Tumbling Down? Not for a Dylan song!
I disagree. Bob Dylan is a genius, as is Steve. Put the two together and it must have been pure magic. I'm very excited that he included Absoultely Sweet Marie and would give just about anything to have heard it. Just my two cents. :)

That's an amazing list, Stuart. Can you clarify that these were not all actually sung at SH concerts?
For instance, my wife was at the Kate Bush Hammersmith show in '79 when SH and Peter Gabriel played with Kate in a memorial to a crew member who had died on tour.
They sang Woman (Man) With The Child In Her Eyes, Them Heavy People etc there, but SH didn't sing them as "covers" in his own show?
And some of the Elvis ones were played at the Ship n Star in Sudbury - I as at one of those legendary Sunday nights...
As I say, just to clarify they weren't all actually "covers" in SH concerts. Your contacts are truly incredible, what a list!! Thank you for the reminders...

Great fun last night to try and remember the cover versions, used a little bit of leway to also include some duets!!!
Hope ya don't mind :cheer:
There must be more jems hidden away over the years?,at a Stuart Adamson Tribute show i believe Steve/rebel played a Big Country song or two,and also he may have duetted with John Otway in concert on an OTway song or two?

Any info on those or any others always gratefully received! :P
When Steve started touring again in 1989,Not Alone Anymore was perfect and was always played very early in the set if not as the opening song at times> It was almost as though those Wibury guys had written it for him ;)

Long may the covers/duets continue..love em!! :)

Your right Stu, Steve did play with Big Country. Also sang along with Otway and Barrett I believe but as this time I cannot give you any titles... I'm not at home :-)

And by the way, the Ian Dury and Blockheads cover was tremendous played live in Ross On Wye.
