Any help would be appreciated
Why do I not see pictures and photos when folks have included them in posts. I just see an empty box where I guess the picture should be and a tiny box at the top left hand corner.

Can you paste a link to a page to give an example?

Do you have this problem on other websites?

What browser are you using?

Hi Tony,

Thankfully for me it doesn't sound like it's a problem with the website, but let's see if we can help you.

The "Ritz cover song" message has actually got an embedded YouTube video rather than an image.

Are you able to view the following video?

If not it will be ironic that it is a video describing how to solve this problem.

It does sound like your security settings are set so high that it is blocking you from viewing videos.

Can you see the symbol in the top right of your browser that looks like a gear wheel? If you hover over it you will see a yellow box with "Tools (Alt + X)".

Click on it and in the menu that appears hover the mouse pointer over "Safety", and in the sub menu that appears see if "ActiveX Filtering" has a tick next to it. If it does, click on it to remove the tick.

Hopefully this will fix your problem. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Andy
Thanks once again for getting back.
Not seeing any video or picture within the square margins apart from a tiny box in the top left corner.

I have checked for the active X filtering tick and it isn't ticked, I checked it on and off.

Still seeing nothing.
How odd....

Hi Tony

Well something is blocking you from being able to view videos.

There are many reasons why this could be happening but it's usually to do with security settings or possibly 3rd party software plugins to block adverts.

Without actually seeing your computer it could take a long time to track down the cause.

If you go to www.youtube.com can you view any videos there?

Does anyone else use your computer, and if so have they added any plugins or adjusted the security settings?

If all else fails you could try and install another browser such as:

Firefox - www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new

Or

Chrome - www.google.com/chrome

Frankly Internet Explorer is a bit rubbish anyway.

Good luck

Andy
