Hi folks,
We have a bit of a dilemma for our pre concert party on the 24th November.
At present we are booked in the Pitcher and Piano in Brindley Place.
However, they can not / will not play Cockney Rebel music in the background. They also will not give us a dedicated area without paying. To be honest their general attitude has not been very ‘enthusiastic’.
I’m guessing that they are expecting to very busy regardless on that day, because there is a sold out (15,000) Military Tattoo on at the NIA the same evening, and therefore can take or leave our custom.
Given the above, I have been in contact with a pub called the Brasshouse, which is about 100 yards away from the Pitcher. Now it is not quite as salubrious as the Pitcher and it does not have the same picturesque outlook over the canals. However, they are keen to accommodate us and have said we can play Cockney Rebel to our hearts content.
On this basis, I would prefer the Brasshouse, but thought I would find the consensus of opinion from you lot before confirming with the manager.
Comments please.
