Ana, I did get your Christmas card, thank you so much! I will buy tickets for November and HOPE that I can make it. Would be great if we could go together somehow, wouldn't it?

I hope you have a very, very Happy New Year!

Lots of love,

I am going to be working my butt off to make it happen man. Not only would seeing Steve again mean the world to me, but I love all the fans I've met through him so much. So many fun and friendly folks. We'll obviously be in touch. ;)

Hi. I'm Kathy and a witness to everything Cheri mentions in her gig report. It's all true - that and so much more! Our trip to England seemed to be supernaturally guided. Crazy acts of kindness, old friendships renewed and new friends found. MY first real exposure to SH and CR was at the Indigo 02 in London, Dec. 16. wow. Music, lyrics, the band were all astounding. For some reason I ended up at the rail, dead center standing in front of Steve, like 8 ft. away. Because there was almost as much energy coming from the audience as the band, I turned around and saw all of you, and then I got it. Steve has a gift to reach into hearts. His music is medicine that connects, soothes, makes sense of things and "makes us happy!" Oh yes, we can all use that. Now I understand why people travel all over to follow Steve. Honestly, when Cheri was planning the trip and mentioning people (Rachel, Jimbo, Jonathan, Stella and Phantom) I was concerned that they might be some cyber-psycho's cruel prank. When you all showed up for dinner at the 02 I realized you were real. Not only that but genuine and kind, exceptional people! Jimbo, I loved your story about first hearing Steve play in the underground and how you put half your paycheck in his guitar case or hat or whatever. Stella the super-mom. As one familiar with it, I so respect you for coming out to meet us. Jonathan power-walked us through London. He and Sallie were so wonderful to take us around. Jonathan is so kind and knows about so many things he was the perfect guide. So I've come to the conclusion that Steve Harley must be the source of all this. The man is amazing. Poetry AND crossword puzzles, music and horses. He even likes birds (ahhh). The real thing is that Steve has heart. When Steve asked us at The Stables "Why would you come all the way from California to see me?" Well, I ask Steve "Why would you show such kindness to us?!!" Both Cheri and I will never forget the experience of meeting you. We felt like princesses. Thank you Barry for letting me bend your ear and be dazzled by your presence. Steve, I don't think you can ever stop playing for your fans, it's all just too good! Thank you for letting me come along for the ride Cheri.

Kathy. It was lovely to meet you and great to share a pre- concert meal together with the others. I could have chatted to you for hours. I just wished we lived closer. I'm sure we'd be great friends!

AWESOME little report Kathy! Thanks for sharing it with us! You summed everything up so well, especially saying "Steve has a gift to reach into hearts. His music is medicine that connects, soothes, makes sense of things and "makes us happy!" SO TRUE. I am so glad you ladies had such a great trip!

Hey Stella, I was thinking yesterday that I stood in front of you throughout the whole concert at the 02 and that I should have let you get up front. 'scuze me it took me a month to think of that... ! Cheri sent me a cd with all our England pictures and I think we have a shot of the poor woman who passed out at the 02 (her misfortune was our opportunity to jump in front). I liked you too, I hate to think of things being 'final' and that I will never see any of you again. My memory of you and all the great Harley fans shines like a diamond! Ana, thank you for noticing I wrote something on page 50 (!!!) of this thread. I just wanted all the Harley and Rebel fans to know how much I liked them. It felt like home.

Kathy, so glad you have started posting on here. Steve is a treasure, as you know, and the fans are awesome people! As far as meeting the fans and seeing concerts, don't forget that Birmingham is coming up in November. Don't know if it's possible for us to swing that one, but we can certainly try, can't we? I just wish that there were more concerts to go to at the time. It's a lot of money and planning for just one concert, plus I don't know how we can top our last trip. Like you say, it shines like a diamond. :D

I posted some videos of Steve on Facebook today. Now, I have Louise Scouten and Debbie Carr interested in him. Got Tom Leinaar to buy one of his CDs. :D I am a girl on a mission to get the word out about him to people in the U.S.! Can't beat the intimate venues, though, can we? Talk to you soon.

Cheri

P.S. Scott is taking me to the wine country tomorrow for a day of wine tasting. I'll call you and update you about everything this weekend. And Happy Birthday on Sunday!! Have a toast to the trip and to our friendship. :)
