Looks like everyone is getting their concert tickets. I have yet to get mine. :( But, I think Ana and I will have to wait a little longer than you other people as the postal system will have to send them overseas. I'm getting nervous and will stay nervous until I have them in hand! :)

On a better note, I did manage to book two rooms at Jury's Inn for Saturday night, November 24. It's one step closer to making this trip a reality. I SO want to see Steve again; there is nothing like it! Still can't get enough of him. Help me! ;)

Cheri

God bless you Cheri, if it helps at all your not alone, just remember no matter where you are in the world , he's only every a thought away , and you cant get closer than that. November seems a life time away I know, but we'll soon all be together enjoying the best years of our lives.

Joanna, I'm looking forward to meeting you and all the other Cockney Rebel fans. :D It's heartening to see everyone buying tickets so fast. This concert has "SOLD OUT" written all over it. :)

I hope you are right Cheri- and there is a long time to go. But the rest of the tkts will have be sold to the more casual punter. On a typical tour, would Steve expect to sell 600-700 tks in Birmingham (over and above the mainstream following)? I don't know.
I hope perhaps a targeted marketing ad, placed in a music mag (and not the Mail on Sunday?) might do a good job of reaching the potential buyers. I hope the marketing is specific about the fact that this is a very SPECIAL show and not just a SH&CR "in concert". Of course, there are quite a number of performers out there doing their classic album in a similar fashion (Big Country doing "The Crossing" for example)and it will need to grab the attention of those who were there at the time (those album covers are so evocative of the era.....so lets see them in the ads Steve?).
I wonder what it will take to see Steve take something like this on the road? If he is going to advertise this one-off, surely a short tour could be advertised at the same time? (Again, its about fixed costs being spread and recovered effectively). I would hope he puts together a short set of dates in say Edinburgh, London and maybe Manchester/Liverpool and then advertise the tour in the music mags?
