Steve writes:
As for dropping The Lighthouse...not yet. Barry excels and I like giving him that moment, and I like the response from all audiences.

Excellent! Why would it be dropped?
For the summer, the Fender Telecaster will get dusted off: Cavaliers needs it, and we'll have to stock up on harmonicas in the key of E - I wear one almost right out after just one thrashing of that song!

I will most likely, baring any other horrific events, be buying my plane ticket at the end of the month, so all this is such excellent good news. What a happy Saturday morning.

For the sake of clarification, I did not suggest that The Lighthouse be dropped!! I just asked if we could have Ritz instead "now and again" and The Lighthouse was a random, not a deliberate, choice. To get both in one gig will be FANTASTIC.

My mouth is salivating at the thought of all those songs Steve lists and I really appreciate him taking time out to explain why set lists tend to be the same throughout a tour.

Can I be cheeky and ask for "Spaced Out" and "Mad, Mad Moonlight" in the encore? ;) Pretty please

If any of those songs Steve mentions get an airing this Summer i'll be overjoyed.Cavaliers,Muriel The Actor(can an 'adult' Steve Harley pull off the vocal??)It's a great start. As i said before, it's not so much a need for a huge and dramatic change in the set-list but just the inclusion of a few songs that have been 'away' for far too long. The great set-list debate has been roaring away over the past few days on various DB's so respects to Steve for listening and understanding.

I called Steve, who is travelling to St Albans, and I'm afraid his reaction to the "Spaced Out" request was, "Maybe not...er, maybe. Really? Someone's asking for that? What is Ali asking for - is she coming from the States?"
