I have a suggestion - Steve makes each gig 8 hours long and plays the lot!
More seriously, I must admit I was very disappointed when Tumbling Down wasn't played at Brighton last year. I would suggest there is a core of songs that should be played at every gig. Here's mine for starters;
Sebastian
Mr Soft
Tumbling Down
Make me smile
Mr Raffles
Best years of our lives
Love compared with You
Red is a mean mean colour
Judy Teen
No bleedin Hearts
And then there is the wish list;
Deathtrip
My Only Vice
Cavaliers
Bed in the Corner
Ritz
All men are Hungry
Nothing is sacred
Understand
Black or White
Someone's Coming
Irresistible
Star for a week
That's my life in your hands
What becomes of the broken hearted?
Young Hearts
Stranger comes to town
Come to think of if perhaps the wish list would make a better core?
That's the problem with SH, he has too many brilliant songs and as a result can't please all the people all of the time.
