Easter is a serious time , yes.

However, time for some other thoughts.

IF a cover was to be suggested....perhaps?

WHO would you choose and WHY ?

First choice.......how about some Leonard Cohen.....I think the voice could go that way and Barry could solo with the violin and move it around a little...possibly Steve N on a bit of Sax!!

Could be a number of numbers..... But at this time Im leaning toward" Im your man".....

and why? :woohoo: :woohoo: ....Because The girls would love it and its got a cheeky little beat.

B) Happy Easter all. x

p.s Yes, i know "traffic police" Its not that easy to get permission etc etc etc this is just a thought.

I love it when Steve does Bob Dylan covers myself. "Love Minus Zero -- No Limit" on Poetic Justice, and "Absolutely Sweet Marie" two years ago at the Indigo O2 and The Stables are two excellent examples.

Hey cheri... how are you?
True ..... yes. I remember those.

Im just listening to some Cohen the last few days. Family moaning at my music choices!!!
Im not quite sure why it has appeared uppermost on the ipod now. I used to listen to him all the time 78-79..when I defected... gosh what a thing to admit to and on here of all places.
Trust all went well on the skiis and not too many bruises.
Catch you soon. Jo

I'd think a cover versions album at this stage in his career would do no harm at all....
I would say that all the covers Steve has done over the years have been very respectful of the originals but also they added a little as well.
Here Comes The Sun,I wish It Would Rain,What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted?,Love minus Zero,Crazy Love,True Love Will Find You In The End..were all great.
And the addition of a live track here and there over the years has been great...
Not Alone Anymore,My Girl,Absolutely Sweet Marie,Mr Tambourine Man,The Way You Do The Things You do,Heatbeat,Peggy Sue Got Married,All I have to do is dream,Let it be Me,Always On My mind,Dont,You Wont See Me,ETC...especially loved Father and Son...

I'd love Steve and the boys to do a cover of Edmund Cottam's There's No One Quite like You :)

Hi Joanna,

I'd offer up Clifford T. Ward's 'Home Thoughts From Abroad'.... though the first two lines might be a problem. ;)

Hi GK... Thank you.. . Im not a huge fan of CTW but I did give him a listen..... interesting though.
I think all lyrics of LC could be a little problem!... and shall we say "open to interpretation also ...poetic licsence and the like"... not always as they speak as with any artist.
That too could be said for any lyric could nt it?
Sometimes I think The Artist " plays with our minds". Its what they do .. it is their trade.

Suns up.......car wash time. :)
Cheers jo
